Giiant Pharma reçoit le soutien financier de la fondation américaine Crohn’s and Colitis
MONTRÉAL–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Giiant Pharma Inc., une société biotechnologique canadienne en phase préclinique, annonce aujourd’hui que la Société recevra un soutien financier de la fondation américaine Crohn’s & Colitis, par l’intermédiaire de son programme IBD Ventures, pour un montant atteignant US$ 500 000. Ce financement soutiendra le développement de GT-2108, un promédicament inhibiteur de la PDE4 (phosphodiestérase-4) administré par voie orale, circonscrit à l’intestin, bioactivé dans le côlon, le tout destiné aux patients atteints de colite ulcéreuse modérée à sévère.

La plate-forme technologique à libération ciblée de Giiant utilise le microbiote intestinal pour bio-activer divers promédicaments thérapeutiques peu absorbables afin de livrer localement l’effet pharmacologique dans la lumière gastro-intestinale. « Le soutien financier de la Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation démontre la forte proposition de valeur de la plate-forme Giiant pour les patients souffrant de maladies inflammatoires chroniques de l’intestin, y compris la colite ulcéreuse », a déclaré le Dr Maxime Ranger, président et chef de la direction de Giiant Pharma Inc.

Giiant Pharma Receives Financial Support From the US Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation
MONTREAL–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Giiant Pharma Inc., a Canadian, preclinical-stage biotech company, today announced that the Company will receive financial support from the US Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, through its IBD Ventures program, for an amount up to US$ 500,000. This financing will support the development of GT-2108, an orally administered, gut-restricted, colon-specific PDE4 (phosphodiesterase-4) inhibitor prodrug for patients affected by moderate-to-severe ulcerative colitis.
